About the Role
We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded individual ready to step into a Junior Account Manager position. Either way, you're ready to take greater ownership and develop into a key customer-facing member of the team.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Commercial Director and the wider commercial team to support the management of major national accounts, while also taking direct ownership of smaller customer accounts. - Keep cross-functional teams (supply chain, finance, NPD) informed on pricing, availability, and timelines.
- Monitor account performance, flagging risks, and supporting with proactive solutions.
Ownership of Secondary Accounts:
- Take ownership of smaller secondary customer accounts, with support from the Senior Commercial Team.
- Build positive customer relationships, ensuring their needs are understood and acted upon.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities, maintain regular contact, and respond quickly to any issues.
- Support sales planning and proactively identify ways to drive customer performance.
- Support supplier relationship management, in collaboration with NPD (new product development) negotiation supplier pricing, and commercials.
- Identify gaps or opportunities for new product listings or enhancements based on customer feedback and insight.
- Work closely with internal teams (NPD, finance, supply chain) to align on feasibility, pricing, and timelines.
- Help develop strategic plans for sales opportunities, monitoring key trends.
- Maintain and monitor your channel P&L, taking ownership of tracking key metrics, updating internal trackers, and flagging variances or risks— seeking final sign-off on next steps from the Commercial Director.
- Prepare sales performance reports, customer feedback summaries, and market insight documents for internal use.
What You’ll Bring
This role is ideal for someone who’s already gained hands-on experience in a commercial or account support role and is ready to take the next step into a junior account management position.
You’ll bring a solid understanding of how commercial functions operate, with the confidence to manage smaller accounts and support on larger ones. Just as important as your experience is your mindset — we’re looking for someone who’s curious, proactive, and ready to grow.
Below is an overview of the traits and behaviours that will set you up for success in this role. We’ll be looking for real-world examples of how you’ve demonstrated these in your previous work.
Core Strengths
- Numerical confidence – you're comfortable working with data and spreadsheets, keeping trackers accurate and spotting when something doesn’t add up.
- Strong communicator – you explain things clearly, ask the right questions, and can build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
- Organised and dependable – you keep things running smoothly, stay on top of details, and help your team stay aligned.
- Curious and proactive – you’re interested in how things work, keen to learn, and happy to take ownership.
- Emotionally intelligent – you can read the room, adapt your tone, and build strong working relationships.

What Will Help You Thrive
- You’re ready to take on more responsibility and grow your own accounts while continuing to learn from others.
- You respond well to feedback, are open-minded, and always looking for ways to improve.
