📍 Location: Herne Hill, London (Hybrid)
🕓 Working Pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5:30pm (1-hour lunch break)

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is part-qualified (or working towards a professional accounting qualification) and looking to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
What You Will Be Doing:
Day-to-day accounts payable and receivables duties for the group
Accurately process financial information within month end deadlines
Obtain approvals of invoices from all departments
Support audit preparation.
Assist to preparation of management accounts
Assist in accruals and prepayments processing
Assist in budgets; forecast preparation across the group.
General accounts queries - Investigating and liaising with other departments;
Cover for others of the finance team during period of absence and annual leave.
Contribute to process improvements within the finance team
What You'll Need:
1–3 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
A solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Currently studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
